STYLE

3 Universal Laws of Style

Fit is King

No matter how much you spend, or how well designed the piece is, you will look like a scrub without the correct fit. Fit is king and it always will be. Trends go in and out of style, but a superior fit is timeless. Just like women and bra sizes, most men are wearing clothes too large for them. Avoid this simple yet rampant problem and you'll already be in the top 20% of well-dressed men. Buy clothes that hug the natural shape of your body, accentuate your masculinity, don’t hide it. Instead of buying pleated shirts (the scourge of style) find shirts that are tapered to show off your shoulders and athletic figure.

Quality Over Quantity

You have a limited budget to spend on you’re style, don’t waste it chasing trends. Trends go in and out of vogue, instead; invest in a high quality timeless wardrobe. It’s better to have 4 pants that fit your body and style superbly than 15 that are more or less okay.

“Never underestimate the power of what you wear. After all, there’s just a small bit of yourself sticking out at the collar and cuff. The rest of the world sees what you drape on your frame.”    -Oscar Schoffler, Longtime fashion editor of Esquire

Keep it Simple

Let your well fitting clothing and personal confidence do the talking. There is no need to overspend on brand names and accessories. Instead, focus on quality fit and you're own personal style. Keep the accessories to a couple supporting pieces, don’t over do it.

Match your belt with you’re shoes. It sounds simple but a surprising majority of men overlook this.

Keep it simple, nice leather and a minimalist brass buckle that pairs well both with jeans and a suit are perfect.

Pay attention to the shoes. Right or wrong; a lot of people judge a man by how he presents his shoes. Invest in a very nice pair of shoes and keep them in pristine condition. Most men neglect attention to their shoes and it shows. Giving them a buff everyonce in a while as it extends their lifespan as well.

Money talks.
Style doesn't have to.
